SunWater Solar was pleased to take part in the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) Silicon Valley’s program “Solar Thermal- Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold!” on July 12, 2011. Chris Chappell, Director of Sales at SunWater Solar, gave an overview of how solar thermal technology utilizes the sun’s energy, rather than fossil fuels, to generate low-cost, environmentally friendly thermal energy. Joining Chris in the presentation was Sargon Ishaya, President of Pragmatic Professional Engineers, who discussed solar thermal and its use in solar cooling applications. Also presenting was Nick Stimmel, Program Administrator for PG&E’s CSI-Thermal (California Solar Initiative-Thermal) Program, who discussed the CSI-T incentive structure and current program statistics.
