SunWater Solar has been installing a Cogenra system at the new Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.
Now that the dust has settled and the books closed on 2011, we thought we’d take a look back at this momentous year in SunWater Solar history. All told, we’re pleased to say that we came out of 2011 with some impressive victories under our belt, and we’re primed to continue leading the U.S. solar thermal industry in the new year.
Here are our 2011 highlights:
- International Hotel Project: SWS consulted on and designed several large solar water-heating systems for a chain of five-star hotels in east Africa.
- Solar Thermal-Photovoltaic Cogeneration Technology: Working with Cogenra, we’ve gotten unique hands-on experience with their innovative product. We are scheduled to install a second Cogenra system in Q1 2012.
- Solar Cooling: Working with Chromasun, we are now completing a project for a medical center that will be the largest rooftop high-temperature solar cooling system in the U.S.
- Military Solar Project: A U.S. Army barracks on a base outside of San Francisco is now enjoying solar hot water thanks to SunWater Solar and Heliodyne.
- Federal Government Projects: We designed and installed solar water-heating systems on two federal courthouses, one in California and one in Nevada.
- SunWater Solar Solar Control: We designed and installed a custom control for a solar thermal system that provides hot water for a large multifamily building.
- Power Purchase Agreement (PPA): Now that SunWater Solar has access to financing, our clients have been able to take advantage of this financial arrangement.
2012 is lining up to be another strong year for SunWater Solar, so stay tuned for more updates on our exciting new projects. Best wishes for 2012!
