SunWater Solar has been installing a Cogenra system at the new Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.
After many months of consultation with solar thermal industry experts, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) recently launched the much-anticipated California Solar Initiative-Thermal (CSI-T) rebate for multifamily and commercial solar water heating systems.
We at SunWater Solar are excited that the rebate is now live and that our input was valuable to those who developed the CSI-T Program. Over the past week we’ve been running current and potential clients’ solar hot water systems through the rebate calculator, and have found it both easy-to-use and accurate.
As a leading solar thermal integrator, we will be applying for many of these multifamily/commercial rebates on behalf our clients, especially as more owners learn about the business value of solar thermal technology. Businesses that adopt this technology sooner rather than later could be eligible for the highest-tier rebate ($12.82 per therm). Regardless of rebate value though, those who go solar thermal can reap significant financial and environmental benefits for many years.
SunWater Solar is certified as a participant in the CSI-T Program. We can design large, complex solar thermal systems for multifamily and commercial facilities, and bring together the mix of products (collectors, solar hot water tank, etc.) best-suited for each client’s facility. For a look at the wide variety of commercial systems we’ve designed and installed, check out our commercial portfolio.
