PG&E has done a lot of work this year to get the word out about the economic and environmental value of solar water-heating technology. We at SunWater Solar are happy to see PG&E working to increase awareness and adoption of solar thermal because we believe that this technology is one of the best ways to cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions and meet building sustainability requirements.

PG&E recently launched a webpage featuring a video about the benefits of solar water heating. The video includes an interview with Linda Erkelens (at 1:47 and 2:27), a San Francisco apartment building owner for whom SunWater Solar designed and built four Schuco solar water-heating systems. The website also features a booklet with information on how solar water-heating technology works, system benefits, rebate availability, how to select a contractor and more. The downloadable PDF is in the orange box on the right.

CSI-Thermal rebates, administered by PG&E in much of California, are currently at their highest tier. Contact SunWater Solar today to learn more about these rebates and other financial incentives and tools that can greatly reduce – and even eliminate – the upfront cost of a commercial or industrial solar thermal system.
