City of San Jose and U.S. Department of Energy officials, along with representatives from SunWater Solar, the media and other clean energy companies, yesterday attended a media event announcing the launch of the San Jose Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase. The media event began in the San Jose City Hall Rotunda, and after remarks from Mayor Chuck Reed and others, attendees braved the rain to explore the clean technology exhibits on display just across the street.

The Showcase will open to the public on Saturday, December 11, giving visitors a chance to see, touch and experience clean technologies up close. The exhibits include wind turbines, solar thermal collectors for heating water and cooling buildings, ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and much more. San Jose, one of only 25 Solar America Cities, is sponsoring the Showcase as a way to educate the public on technologies that the city will rely on to meet its ambitious Green Vision Goals.

SunWater Solar applauds the City of San Jose for organizing the Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase. We are grateful for the opportunity, in conjunction with Schuco, to present the benefits of solar thermal to the public and raise awareness of this oft-overlooked technology.
