Solar Thermal- Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold!

SunWater Solar was pleased to take part in the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) Silicon Valley’s program “Solar Thermal- Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold!” on July 12, 2011. Chris Chappell, Director of Sales at SunWater Solar, gave an overview of how solar thermal technology utilizes the sun’s energy, rather than fossil fuels, to generate low-cost, environmentally friendly thermal energy. Joining Chris in the presentation was Sargon Ishaya, President of Pragmatic Professional Engineers, who discussed solar thermal and its use in solar cooling applications. Also presenting was Nick Stimmel, Program Administrator for PG&E’s CSI-Thermal (California Solar Initiative-Thermal) Program, who discussed the CSI-T incentive structure and current program statistics.

SunWater Solar & Chromasun Install Solar Air Conditioning at Solar Decathlon House

In California’s Silicon Valley, innovation has long been the catalyst that propels products, technologies and companies from the garage or lab to the dizzying heights of success. Achieving that success requires innovators to first catch lightning in a bottle, and then find the right partners to help release it one spark at a time. This […]

SEIA Projects Continued Growth of Solar Thermal in 2010

SEIA, the Solar Energy Industries Association, has released its year in review report for 2009, and they are calling for a continued increase in solar water heating systems in 2010 after a 10% growth rate in 2009.  Here is an excerpt from the report: “SEIA expects continued growth in SWH in 2010. This year, California […]
